Not being able to make our speech clear to a listener can be a frustrating experience. Our assessment and treatment services run the age span from early childhood through adulthood.
UWSHC offers individual and group sessions to improve speech or to learn strategies to increase others’ ability to understand the speaker.
UWSHC provides services for:
- Children who are slow to acquire speech sounds (e.g., speech delay, phonological disorder)
- Children with oral structural impairments (e.g., cleft palate or other craniofacial differences)
- Children with motor function impairments (e.g., childhood apraxia)
- Adults with acquired motor speech disorders (e.g., dysarthria, apraxia)
