The UW Speech and Hearing Clinic provides evaluation and treatment for adults experiencing difficulty swallowing (dysphagia). Swallowing concerns can affect eating, drinking, and overall health, and may occur following stroke, neurological conditions, surgery, or aging-related changes.
Swallowing disorders can impact nutrition, hydration, and quality of life, and may increase the risk of complications if not addressed .
