Storytime Friends Offers Summertime Fun

Another summer of Storytime Friends has come and gone! Storytime Friends is a story-based communication enhancement program for children who are d/Deaf or have hearing loss. We make language, literacy, and self-advocacy FUN!

This year, we read “Dragons Love Tacos,” “When You Give a Pig a Pancake,” “I Want My Hat Back,” and “One Duck Stuck.” Our graduate student clinicians planned many wonderful experiential activities! We had a lot of fun reading books, playing games, getting creative with sensory activities and crafts, and eating delicious snacks.

Storytime Friends graduate student clinicians were Jenny Lucke, Kelly Schneider, Vee Stanarevic, and Mary Skorupa. Supervising audiologists were Drs. Amy Hartman and Rachel Lee. Thank you to our attendees and all involved for such a fun and memorable week. We already cannot wait for next year!
