Dr. Rachel Lee had the honor of advocating on Capitol Hill last week for our profession and the people we serve. She met with the offices of seven U.S. senators and representatives from Wisconsin and Minnesota to discuss legislation and funding issues that directly affect our patients and clients. Among several other asks, she advocated for full funding for Early Hearing, Detection, and Intervention programs, direct access to audiologists for Medicare beneficiaries, and funding to promote workforce diversity in audiology and speech-language pathology. Advocacy matters!
