Our AuD students dove right in to the semester with several outreach events this past week!
First and second-year AuD students attended the Institute on Aging’s Annual Colloquium on Thursday. They handed out earplugs, performed video otoscopy, and answered questions about the auditory system and hearing technology. Our booth was very busy! It was great to engage with our community again after a two-year hiatus for this event.
On Saturday, Dr. Rachel Lee was joined by graduate students Marisa Thomas, Liz Cooke, Shelby Martin, Kelly Schneider, Jenny Lucke, and Marissa Schaefer to perform hearing screenings for members at First Congregational Church in Madison. This event reminded us that outreach does as much for our students as it does for those we serve.
Thank you to all who came out!
