Members of the Cognitive-Communication in Aging and Neurogenic Disorders Lab have organized a team to participate in and fund raise for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s on Sunday, October 3. Alzheimer’s Disease is a devastating diagnosis and this organization works to fund research with the hope to find a cure for AD. Last year, the CSD department created a team and raised almost $3000! We hope to be able to do the same this year with the help from all of you. Please consider joining the CSD department on this walk!

There is no fee to join the team. We hope that, if possible, you all will be able to do a little fundraising to make this event a success! No amount is too small… it is very common to see a donation of 1 or 2 dollars. Many small donations can make a huge impact! Because we are living in strange and unpredictable times, the walk this year will be interactive. The organization does encourage its participants to track their individual walks to create a sense of community and support. As a CSD team, we am going to organize a walk for the team members around Madison for that day providing the weather is nice and everyone is healthy. More updates on that will be coming soon!

Fundraising for this event is very easy. The use of social media to fund raise is highly encouraged and the steps to share the teams page are highlighted on the website. Again, no donation is too small!
