We are thrilled to be profiling emeritus Communication Sciences and Disorders faculty members in October and November!
Today we are profiling emeritus professor Gary Weismer, Ph.D. A fun memory Dr. Weismer cited from his time in the department was producing a human brain from a bucket on the first day of CS&D 503, as the opening moment of the class!
Dr. Weismer’s advice to clinical students and faculty alike is, “read a lot and don’t believe much of what you hear until you check it out yourself.”
In his retirement, Dr. Weismer is finishing new editions of textbooks and being run ragged by grandchildren!
