Bilingual SLP grad students provide service in Guatemala

Forty preschool children participated in language and school readiness baseline assessments at NGO Common Hope in January 2012 provided by graduate students Ruby Braxton, Rose Heckenkamp, Amanda Murphy and Caitlin Klukas under the supervision of Michelle Quinn. All were happy to connect with former alum Jessica Witt, class of 2002, as she makes her mark on behalf of families of preschool children in and near Antigua.

A big shout-out to John Hanson of Pearson Publishing for collaborating with us to provide tests with Spanish norms. With high hopes this collaboration of taking the Wisconsin Idea global continues! Thanks to the Common Hope staff and long term volunteers for the invite and hospitality shown us. ¡Hasta la vista!
