CSD Students Partner with Boys and Girls Club of Dane County

National Student Speech Language Hearing Association (NSSLHA) UW-Madison Chapter & The Wisconsin Idea Task Force – Community Engagement Committee (part of NSSLHA) want to express their deep appreciation for their ongoing partnership with the Boys and Girls Club of Dane County (BGCDC) and their AVID TOPS programming. This collaboration has created invaluable opportunities for our members to engage with Madison’s youth through classroom presentations, summer research internships, on-campus field trips, and other enriching activities. This year the students from UW-Madison NSSLHA Chapter also made a special gift of $1,175 to support BGCDC efforts.

Our community engagement efforts are driven by a shared commitment to sparking interest in the fields of speech-language pathology, audiology, and communication sciences research. Together, we aim to inspire the next generation of professionals and foster a more diverse and inclusive workforce—one that is better equipped to serve the varied needs of the communities we represent and serve.
