Clinical Professor Melanie Buhr-Lawler was recently featured for her inclusive teaching strategies in UW-Madison’s College of Letters & Science Instructional Design Collaborative’s website and newsletter! Professor Buhr-Lawler shared her insights about inclusion in her fourth-year Doctor of Audiology course, CSD 921: Problems in Audiology. She discussed her approach to diversifying course materials and ensuring accessibility for all students.

Professor Buhr-Lawler says, “My course is fully online… I want the course to flow elegantly so students can focus on growth and learning rather than on trying to decipher my expectations. The course provides the students with different formats for receiving content and for completing assignments. It is representative of different abilities and backgrounds, and I strive to support my students as a group as well as individuals.”
