The UW Speech and Hearing Clinic and the Audiology program in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders will be hosting its first annual UWSHC Symposium: Spotlight on Hearing Health. The event is on April 27, 2013 at Goodnight Hall from 1:00-4:00 pm. The Symposium will include informational talks on hearing health and the latest in hearing technology by UW Madison Audiology clinical professors, tours of the UW Speech and Hearing Clinic, free hearing screenings, and free hearing aid cleanings. There will also be information booths where attendees can have the sound level of their MP3 players measured, get information on funding sources for hearing aids, try out assistive hearing technology, and more! Observatory Drive will reopen at 12:30 pm on April 27 following the Crazylegs Classic, which will allow ample time to get to Goodnight Hall for the Symposium that afternoon. There will be free parking in lot 58 (adjacent to Goodnight Hall) for Symposium attendees.
