Here are possible ways to design your schedule to meet Communication Sciences and Disorders major requirements based on when you begin the major. Other sequencing options exist. Please contact undergraduate advising undergrad@csd.wisc.edu for more information about alternative sequencing, additional L&S requirements (if applicable), and American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) standards.

*CSD 371: Pre-Clinical Observation of Children and Adults is only available to students who are CS&D majors and is designed to be taken during the last spring semester on campus. Students not taking 371, and wishing to apply to graduate school in CSD are still required to demonstrate 25 guided clinical observation hours. You can independently obtain those hours by contacting clinics where the supervisor is ASHA certified and asking if you are allowed to observe, discuss the session, and validate those hours. Students should download the observation hours form and bring the form with them to clinics where they are observing, and have the supervising ASHA certified clinician sign off.
If you are interested in beginning the Communication Sciences and Disorders major after fall semester of your junior year, please contact undergraduate advising: undergrad@csd.wisc.edu.
Students pursuing the Communication Sciences and Disorders major through the College of Letters and Science must choose from the Letters and Science courses to satisfy major requirements.
