Se-in is a certified bilingual speech-language pathologist and a Ph.D. student in Communication Science and Disorders under the mentorship of Dr. Susan Thibeault. She earned her B.A. in Biology with minors in Music and French from Washington University in St. Louis. She completed M.A. in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Iowa and Clinical Fellowship at Vanderbilt Voice Center. She then worked as a voice, swallow and upper airway specialist at UT Southwestern Medical Center Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery for 5.5 years. Se-in published a retrospective case series study on the topic of primary odynophonia in the Laryngoscope 2019 with Dr. Ted Mau while at UT. Her current research interests include vocal fold tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. Se-in is also a hybrid singer who performs in the style of classical and contemporary music.
