Emily (she/her) is a doctoral student in the department of Communication Sciences and Disorders under the mentorship of Dr. Margarita Kaushanskaya. Emily earned her B.A. from the University of Michigan in 2019 with majors in Linguistics and Biopsychology, Cognition, and Neuroscience and a German minor. As part of the M.S./PhD program, she earned her M.S. in Communication Sciences and Disorders at UW-Madison in 2022. Her research interests include bilingualism, language acquisition, cognition, and autism. She is especially interested in bilingual language development within the autistic population.
