Michele Tracy Eye and Ear MEDiC Clinic

At the Michele Tracy Eye and Ear MEDiC Clinic, our Au.D. students provide hearing screenings for residents of Porchlight, Inc. under the supervision of a UWSHC audiologist. This clinic serves as a preventive health resource for residents of Porchlight housing. Porchlight, Inc aims to reduce homelessness in Dane County by providing shelter, affordable housing, and supportive services that empower individuals and families.

MEDiC is a student-run program within the UW–Madison School of Medicine and Public Health that works to improve access to care for medically underserved communities while training future health professionals. Au.D. students evaluate the hearing of Porchlight residents and collaborate with medical, ophthalmology, and pharmacy students to provide preventive care and participate in interdisciplinary discussions.
