Julie Anderson Wagner Memorial Scholarship

Julie Anderson Wagner
Julie (Anderson) Wagner

Julie (Anderson) Wagner was a fun-loving and courageous person who was an inspiration to all those who knew her. Julie studied to be a speech-language pathologist at the University of Wisconsin-Madison where she earned a Bachelor (’06) and Master (’08) degree from the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders. She was a very talented and dedicated speech-language pathology, working in the public schools her entire career. Julie was devoted to improving the communication and lives of her students and loved working in the filed of education. Julie was a true Badger and took great pride in being a UW alumna. At age 32, Julie lost her battle with Cystic Fibrosis. Although Julie fought this chronic disease her entire life, she never let it define her. Julie will always be remembered for her incredible courage, strength, and positive-loving spirit.

To honor Julie’s memory, this scholarship was established in 2015 to support future speech-language pathologists studying at UW-Madison who share Julie’s passion for improving children’s lives through better communication. This endowment fund will allow a scholarship to be provided every year to a student in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders studying to become a speech-language pathologist.
