Get ready to see Bascom Hill turn pink! Fill the Hill returns this “Flocktober” as UW–Madison’s annual fundraising tradition. For every gift made during the campaign, a pink lawn flamingo will be placed on Bascom Hill, transforming one of campus’s most famous pranks into a powerful show of Badger spirit and community support.
Mark your calendar for October 9–10, 2025, and please consider making a gift to Communication Sciences and Disorders during Fill the Hill!

What is Fill the Hill?
Fill the Hill is one of the most beloved traditions at UW–Madison. Each year, the famous pink lawn flamingos flock to Bascom Hill as part of a fundraising effort that brings campus lore to life in support of the university. Every flamingo on the hill represents a gift someone has made in support of the UW during this period. The growing flock represents the support of the extended Badger community, whose philanthropy plays a vital role in keeping the UW strong.
