Role of Mechanoreceptor Piezo1 in Vocal Fold Epithelial Development and Regeneration
Alex is a certified speech pathologist and current predoctoral student in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at UW-Madison. He graduated from West Virgina University with a B.A. in Business Management and Administration, and subsequently completed a M.A. degree in speech-language pathology at the State University of New York at Buffalo. Alex completed his clinical fellowship at UW Voice & Swallow Clinics where he gained specialized experience in evaluating and treating adult voice disorders. His research interests have involved: CCM singers, vocal fold biology, wound healing, and mechanobiology.
