Sydney Hayes, M.A., CCC-SLP

Sydney is a certified speech-language pathologist and doctoral student in Communication Sciences and Disorders under the mentorship of Dr. Katie Hustad. Sydney earned her B.A. at Wayne State University and her M.A. in Speech-Language Pathology at Case Western Reserve University where she worked as a research assistant studying the etiological bases of pediatric speech and language disorders. Sydney completed her clinical fellowship at the Waisman Center where she specialized in Augementative and Alternative Communication (AAC) evaluation and treatment in the Communication Aids and Systems Clinic and the multidisciplinary Neuromotor Disorders Clinic. Sydney’s current research interests include early speech and communication development in children with complex communication needs and who use AAC.
