The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders administers a number of scholarships and awards open to undergraduate majors and graduate students. Students may also be eligible for awards from state and national agencies.

Our faculty and staff run the UWSHC, which offers evaluation and treatment of communication disorders. UWSHC serves Wisconsin residents across the lifespan, and offers low-cost services and partial scholarships for individuals and families in need.

Our faculty perform cutting-edge research that has clear health relevance. Faculty have been issued patents, created spin-off companies, and developed technology that benefits people in Wisconsin and the nation.

Community Outreach
Our faculty and students provide outreach services and consulting, often at no cost, to families, school systems, and other organizations in need.
