Clinical Statement

Joan’s clinical interests include the treatment of children’s speech delays of known and unknown origin and the treatment of stuttering and other fluency disorders across the age span. Joan is an ASHA-board-certified specialist and mentor for fluency disorders. Her most recent collaborative research has been in the form of student projects to address a research question in the context of a clinical practicum for presentation in a poster format at national and state professional meetings.
